Both. I was really stupid about it, actually. I didn't want to let them even think I'd been on the trip, but then my brothers saw the Youtube videos and...yeah, that just didn't end well.

It's not like you asked for the monster or the other parasite things to come attack the ship while you were out on a field trip. It just happened, and you weren't about to let yourself become fresh meat for them, right?

Tell them the circumstances. They should at least understand that and know that you couldn't have just stood there doing nothing.
