Okay, so we all know about the 3 primary phases of a woman's life. So what's the male equivalent???

You might float this question on the pagan communities; they're full of people who do nothing but think about this sort of thing.
I've always been somewhat fond of Pan, Warrior, Sage. I couldn't point to a specific trad for that, though. I know I've seen a fivefold division within some neopagan trads, but I couldn't tell you what for the life of me.
Most male developmental psychology from pre-rational to rational to trans-rational follows the concepts of Freedom and Justice, which is where the warriorship (rational) and sagehood (trans-rational) tend to come in, if those are useful concepts for you to play with.
As to how to demark the male changes, we obviously don't have things like first menses and menopause to make clear distinctions. However, puberty and grayheadedness make fuzzy but observable lines. Most things I've seen tend to aim along those lines.
