Don't Trust your Brain

What a stimulating evening! After commenting on the Mind in my brutha's lj, I was just pointed to this little ditty on the Mind. This is all Psychology 201 stuff that I don't reMind myself of often enough. Synchronistically enough, it ties in well with the discussion I was just commenting on re: Entheogens and the Mind's Perceptions. Robert ( Read more... )

//If you hired the mind as a babysitter, you would come home to find all but one of your children in critical condition, and the remaining one crowned "King of the Pit."//

Not as bad as if MY mind were teh baby sitter. Ther might be intoxicants involved and many a bomb/DEA agent/worms/pocorn/whips/chains/dreams/etc/etc/etc involved. Laugh out loud visualization.

and I have to add that les than a week ago I was intorduced to Neutral Milk Hotel and I ahve had it come up in no less than five conversations since....what is it with this? Is it a band named for a quote I should hear?

I've never heard of Neutral Milk Hotel until I saw this reference (which still doesn't mean anything to me). Since you know more, care to enlighten me?

That would explain why I hadn't heard of them. It's not a DJ or Club name ;-)

Excellent. I love this. Especially the humor interspered with the truth. If everything we think we know is illusion, why shouldn't our main goal be to fabricate the life that is ours to live? Obviously anything is possible. Because it's all spewed out by a nibbling caveman who is still convinced *he* made fire in a cave.

EXACTLY!!!!

A co-worker of mine once said that he sees "real life" as the ultimate RPG. We make it all up anyway, so why not have fun with the process?

"How cool is your Character?"
