His peace was not about to last long, for who was to come along except for the two very mature idiots who had been walking around the campus all day.

"Are we done yet?" Alto complained to his companion(no, he would never admit that he was whining) and rubbed his arms over himself. "It's not a dress, nobody called it a dress. Give it up already."

"It's still a dress! Those people are just stupid!" Len tugged his skirt lower, not for embarrassment anymore--he wasn't thinking about the dress much anymore--but it was getting quite cold out.

"Just admit that you lost!!" Some people were just too stubborn. It was a kimono, for God's sake. Men wore them. The one he was wearing was just... too floral and too girly for most men to want to wear BUT it did not change the fact that men wore kimonos too!

Just with the obi tied differently.

... those voices sound awfully familiar.

Gaku sighed and let his hand fall back to his lap, forgetting about his mass of hair for the moment. He looked around the tree long enough to confirm that yes, it was Alto and Len, and though it was fairly dim outside, he could still tell that they were wearing something... abnormal.

Dismissing that for the moment, he settled back where he was sitting and waited until they passed.

"Isn't it a little late for students to be out wandering the grounds?"

Len shook his head. Nothing that flowery and pretty could be counted as male clothes, Len was insistent. Sure a male kimono wasn't really a dress--but a girl's totally counted at the same thing. "I DIDN'T LOSE--"

He jerked around, "Eh?.... Uh hi Gakupo." He tugged on the skirt again, so far Len had managed not to run into the other Vocaloids--but still was it any different than behind stage in their costumes? "We were heading back anyway. Why are you out here?"

Alto crossed his arms over his chest, mustering up as much of a princess-like temper dignity as he could dress the way he was, if only so that he could ignore the blush on his face. No matter how many people he met that day, he just could not get used to it.

"Yeah, as soon as this sore loser here admits that he lost."

Quietly amused, and looking for any excuse to divert attention away from himself, he canted his head and smiled at the two of them.

"Dare I even ask what brought this on?"

Huffing, Len glared at Alto. "I'm not a loser!" He hissed, screwing up his face into a scowl even with the tint of red that was probably hidden by the darkness.

"I told him kimonos are dresses." He looks at Gaku, "They're dresses, aren't they?"

"They are not! How many times must I tell you they are not dresses! What you are wearing is a dress, mine is..." he looked down at himself, the blush on his face growing deeper.

"-Most definitely not a dress."

"..."

Gaku stared at both of them, eyebrow quirked and gaze shifting back and forth several times.

Well... they were asking his opinion...

"Ah... technically... what you're wearing, Alto, is a furisode. Which... is what unmarried women wear."

Sorry, Alto.

Len put his hands on his hips. "See! It's totally a dress!" Regardless that wasn't exactly what Gaku had said...

"That's not what he said!!" Damn it, Gakupo. He thought they were friends!

"It's a furisode, that's the proper word for it. Not..." Alto gave Len's oufit a lookover and a snort. "... a dress. What's wrong with wearing a furisode anyway? I'm unmarried and I'm--"

Alright, hold it right there, Alto. Gakupo still did not know what your abilities were. And he was more than happy to keep it that way.

They are! Doesn't mean he's going to lie just for your sake when he's not even properly confirming what Len said.

There was a sigh then, along with a slight frown as he tried to figure out how to settle the argument. Luckily he was more concerned about that then Alto's sudden stop.

"Men wear kimono, Len. Granted, yes, it's a different style, but Alto has a point. In traditional clothing the closest you'd even get to a 'dress' would be and Uchikake, which is a stage dress or wedding wear, depending on the occasion. When it comes right down to it... you're the one in a dress. He's in a furisode."

And if that didn't settle it he was just going to escort both of them inside and tell them to go to bed.

Len crossed his arms over his chest at the look, grumbling. "It'd be weird if you were married."

Chewing on his lip, ".... It's still a dress." No one ever said Len wasn't just as stubborn as Rin. Clearly Gaku was relenting to his dress-wearing look-alike. It wasn't fair at all.

Never mind the little tidbit that Alto did have a couple of uchikake in his parcels. But like Gakupo had pointed out, they were all for stage dress. Damn the tradition that disallowed women on stage, and that some men would have to play female roles.

"Sore loser," he sneered, even as he edged closer to Gakupo for warmth. Damn it, why was it so cold here?

"You could stand to tone down the stubbornness, Len," Gaku admonished gently. He would have been more apt to take his side in some manner if the boy wasn't so insistent on remaining immature.

"... cold?" he asked, glancing at Alto.
