Mom really wanted some pie so I got busy early in the day and made it first thing this morning before the house got too hot. She was really happy after dinner when we got to cut in to it :)

I have never eaten a rhubarb anything,
it looks like red celery.

It is really tangy and really good. We eat a lot of it since we have the little patch of it out back. It makes great pies and sauce to pour over vanilla ice cream, yum!

And it doesn't get any fresher than this either. To go out and pick some and minutes later have it in the pie and then in to the oven. Got to love that growing your own and baking your own factor :)
