i just got a myspace message from some dude saying we have a bunch in common and should be friends. i checked his profile and he was right, we're both into raw foods (on his shit it says he's mostly raw), lifting, fitness, nutrition, hardcore, etc ( Read more... )

that guy is a putz, peanut butter is not a complete protein.

why raw foods? as to not denature any enzymes that some guy selling books says we're deficient in? cooking food makes sense to me, you kill any mold/bacteria/pathogen that may be present and some foods are more digestable after cooking.

i agree on the peanut butter thing. douche bag wrote back to me to argue about peanut butter, and how if it's organic it's totally different, which isn't true. but anyway...

eh, raw foods diets are more than just what some guy wrote. it's a really detoxifying diet and feels really good when everything is in season, like summertime. really benificial for people who get sick a lot, who eat poor diets, who want to lose weight, etc. i mean it's fairly common knowledge that the less you cook veggies the more vitamins and yes, enzymes, they have. it's good for you, but i wouldn't do it for an extended amount of time.
