Losing the Ability

to write, create... I opened a doc tonight with the intention of borrowing the characters to a long!fic i've been writing (well taking a 3 month break from, if i'm honest) and write a drabble to see if i can:

1. Get back into the characters heads and gateway back into the story itself
2. inspire the fixing my story actually needs

take a breath & relax. i read the drabble & i love it. whatever this longer piece is that you're working on, i can't wait to read it too.

and the three month break & the foggy brain are natural reactions to having something that devastating happen in your life.

the fact that you were called back to writing means that you're getting there. you have the voice of a storyteller inside that wants to come out, and it will when you're ready. let it out when you have a story to tell & don't worry about losing the words. they'll be there when you're ready for them.
