I would say Lj is a place to get sympathy, a place to make others feel sry for you just so they comment to try and make you better about yourselves.

I say LiveJournal.com is mostly a way for people to get more in-depth emothional pity from those they know. Either that or people use it as just another form of gaining popularity or a bragging tool. Notice how not many truely put down stuff as they would if they had a seperate hand written journal. This is a site that people use for show. That's all it has basically become. I barely see any people who use it as a means to get ahold of those they care of when its the only way they can, or have fully out personal information that they feel and need to express somehow instead of bottling it up til they explode.

Yeah...I'm in a rather bad mood right now as it is... maybe my input wasn't needed at this moment.
