All right, so I'll explain my situation a bit. I've only just stumbled upon the X-Files, frankly, I was 5 years old when it first started and the theme song used to scare me so much that I ran out of the room whenever it played. My dad used to watch it hence the me running out of the room.
I'm not going to go on a rant about the last two seasons without putting it under a cut, just in case there are other newbs like me who haven't reached that point in the series yet. :)
So, I'm up to "Audrey Pauley" except I'm still slightly mystified as to a few things that were "revealed" in the two above mentioned episodes.
Now, my questions are regarding William. It's never actually "mentioned" that Mulder is the father but even when Scully was still pregnant and they'd found Mulder and he'd randomly make mention of the kid, I got the feeling there was something there. Not to mention that originally, he'd also agreed to be the donor for Scully's apparently "good" ovum, WHICH was from that doctor which I can't remember the name who was studying alien fetus. (I'm REALLY bad with names and episode names... so bare with me!)
Okay, so Robert Comer mentions a prophecy regarding William and following in his father's path to stop the alien invasion, unless his father were to die, etc etc... then Scully is like.. Mulder. So in a way, are they ADMITTING that Mulder IS the father? Or did they do this earlier and I totally just didn't pay attention to it then?
Any clarification or some kind of explanation would be awesome!
What I had floating around in the back of my head was that when they originally tried to "conceive" with Mulder's donation and Scully's saved ovum, the doctor did something and that's how William came to be later... buut, that's my whacky imagination going on a tangent.
Also, don't be afraid to go further into the season and spoil stuff for me if it needs to be done for an explanation. I'm not very big on spoilers anyways.
Thanks a ton! :D
I apologize if that made no sense! Hopefully it did! Also, I apologize if I sound like a major ditz, I get very exuberant when I talk about something I'm really "into".
