here i am sitting in speech class. and i have to say, people have NO idea. i mean, i really do cover my pain up pretty well. even miss thrasher doesnt see it. its great. really it is.

you must first know the self. For to conquer others is to have power but to conquer yourself is to know true wisdom. My point, little gretchen is you need to sit down close your eyes and say hello to gretchen. That's right get to know you. I am personaly getting to know me and it's a cool thing. So go get to know you. You can call it complete bullshit if you like, i'm just saying knowing yourself is a good thing. And knowing yourself doesn't mean o i'm me of course i know me. It means finding out who you are. Who you are as in your identidy. Which is one of the hardest things to find. But lao tzu and krishna also say that once you know the self and have come to terms with the self, and if you love the essence (god *christians*) with all your heart then true happiness is on the way. There sdome stuff about generosity in there and about letting worldly possesians go but they come later
