I really like this. It can be so hard to get the first person narration right when it comes to Mulder and Scully, but I thought this worked. There are some absolutely lovely lines as well. The first is a great opener and this one:

On your thigh is the mark from a bullet that almost ended your life. On your left shoulder is the scar from the bullet that I used to save it.

really stood out for me. Can't wait to read more!
