Hi again! As the sign-ups are coming to a close, I'm putting up a post for beta volunteers. If you are willing to be a beta, please comment here with your e-mail address and beta preferences/restrictions. Strengths: Grammar? Characterization? Dialog? Plot-hole spotting? P0rn? Types of fics you rock?
I'm fairly decent as an all-around beta. I actually prefer beta-reading shortfic (6k or less) to long, plotty things, unless I have worked with the writer before.

No-Can-Dos: What will you not beta, if anything?
Super-long fic because of limited time, anything related to the Home episode, because EEK. ;)

Strengths: Grammar, punctuation, characterization, spotting Anglicisms. I'm decent at spotting plot-holes, and pretty good with dialog, too. I can do fluff, angst, short-ish casefiles, and missing scenes. Probably other things I'm leaving out, too.
No-Can-Dos: No PWP, slash, rape, or other NC-17 (as long as smut is not the main focus, I'd probably be okay but that is not my strength), and no non-MSR pairings (gen is fine). I would prefer the fic to have Mulder and/or Scully be the main character(s) but I can be a bit flexible on that. I'd have trouble with AU character death, too.

Strengths: Basically anything: grammar, structure, plot, whatever.
No-Can-Dos: Betaing before Dec 20. I can do quick-turnaround after that, though. Will beta anything w/r/t content.

Strengths: Pretty much anything I think. I've done a fair bit of betaing this year and have covered drabbles, PWP, slash and longer pieces.
No-can-Dos: Nothing really. Between 7th and 9th December will be awkward as I'm away on a course and don't know if I'll have internet access, but otherwise I'm all good.

Strengths: I can do pretty much anything you want, from your basic grammar/spelling check to overhaul mode, and all that falls in between. Het or gen only please!
No-can-Dos: I won't do Mulder/Other or Scully/Other, slash, or historical AU. I can do NC-17 but only if there's a plot...pr0n is not my strong point. Also I will need at least a few days to beta as I'm very busy with school and work.
