I saw this article on CNN about a new fossil showing that Snakes could well have had legs in the past. I found this interesting because of the potential relation to Genesis 3:14. I always thought the curse was purely metaphorical to Lucifer though and not involving an actual serpent.

Some snakes have vestigial legs under the skin. There's one species where a claw protrudes out from under the skin! (it literally breaks through and cuts them up on the way out)! (And you thought wisdom teeth were bad!)
