WHY would you make someone watch Akira??
It's gotta be at least 5 hours too long......

I didn't make her watch it, she TiVo'd it herself and we watched it when I visited her last. She asked me once, what was the most WTF anime I've ever seen, and that's what I told her.

I'd like to see anyone "make" that girl do anything. That would be the day I swear off anime forever.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure she hates me at the moment. This morning, I just checked to make sure she's still alive (she is) and left her alone. I think we're gonna have to do the box-spring lift again for her next dose of meds.
