Happy Valentine's Day!

Feb 13, 2015 23:15

I was going to do a Top 5 countdown of sorts for V-Day; but that didn't work out. FYI, I've queue'd a bunch of posts of my favorite/memorable pairings on my Tumblr for tomorrow. (Rhoda, there's going to be a Homeland spoiler on there after 6pm, so be warned.)

Anyway, here's something that's relevant to, I think, everyone's interest. Enjoy.

Gah, I can't stop staring at the GIF set from The Young Victoria. Just so . . . gorgeous <3

And I'm shrieking and flailing over this Crimson Peak trailer. Lovely and atmospheric and over the top and mysterious and ominous and just . . . ugh. I think I'm going to absolutely love this movie. And Tom Hiddleston will be absolutely perfect. Oh my word. This has made my day!

I LOOOOOOOVE The Young Victoria. Favorite romantic movie, favorite period drama, and my one and only OTP. (That being Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, not Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend. . .but I like them too!)

The trailer did leave me a little less. . .excited, but I still want to see the movie. Just, it seemed or looked better in my mind before I saw anything. Someone described it as The Woman in Black meets Jane Eyre and that's all I can see!

And Tom Hiddleston will be absolutely perfect.

LOL I knew he'd get you excited. Like I said, there's something for everyone in this trailer.

Hee, yes, indeed. Those two are a fantastic example of devotion, all right.

Oh, wow, that's a great word picture! We always like the way we first imagine things the best, with few exceptions, I think.

Yep, there is! Kinda surprised that it's being touted so boldly as Del Toro's masterpiece. I'm under the impression that Pan's Labrynth (which I haven't seen) is considered to be Del Toro's best work? Ah, well.

LOL yeah, I saw a lot of people griping about that. I blame that on the movie studio/marketing. I feel like Del Toro is the only one that claim what his "masterpiece" is; so maybe he does consider Crimson Peak his masterpiece. . .?

Pan's Labrynth is good. . .from what I remember (I only saw it once and years ago). It's very, very sad, though, and deals with difficult themes and, yeah, you need to be in the "right" mind to watch it.

Here's one I posted on my Tumblr and here's another one for you to choose from. :D

The CGI looks a bit. . .dodgy, but I'm not going to hold that against them since the movie's not coming out until October.
