Yeah, it's black friday because it's the weekend that puts a lot of retailers in the 'black' for the year.

Standard retail especially is dependent on the holiday season. When I worked at a catalog company we basically made no money until November-- we broke even, if that.

i'm at work for another ... 20ish minutes. I have 5,000 things what all need doing at my house. I have little to no food there. I can hit a grocery store and pick up some kind of frozen thing.... or have hot dogs and mac'n cheese. (no bets, please. this one's too easy.)

But then i need to focus. and write. and stuff. in a way that i have not been able to do since my study-buddy went on vacation.

Dunno if you've had dinner or not yet, but i can call you when i'm home and starting to cook, if you'd like.

We stuffed up on Thanksgiving leftovers, so I do not need dinner, but call me when you're ready! And I will come! And we can make each other do stuffs!

I was trying to remember this stray line from a movie I'd seen a LONG time ago-- where this character tells her grandmother (somehow) how she'd lost track of the cousins because it'd been the Grandmother that had held them all together-- and JUST NOW while reading your post I finally remembered it was "Peggy Sue Got Married"....

I am glad you can still call them. I need to take a page from your book and call mine.
