It's kind of sad when Dean notices that he will probably die early and has no one to talk to. Even Sam doesn't answer.
But when Sam calls he's totally Dean and is "fine"...

But I can so imagine this to happen.

Thank you for commenting! I thought about a "happy" ending, with Dean being able to talk to someone, but it just didn't seem right!

Guh. That ending is so typical of Dean. It wrenches my heart.

Dean certainly has his life cut out for him and not in a good way he feels as if he's to young to die and no around to talk to about his feelings except sam yet sam is at stamford uni at the moment. This is a very poignant fic i like it sad but true.

Oh, Dean. I swear. This is so plausible, that he would come to the sudden realization that reality applies to him, too, even though he's young and strong. On one hand the ending's sad, because Dean's not able to open up to either member of his living family, but I'd like to think that in some ways Dean gets what he needs by being strong for Sammy.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! And I think that Dean lives by the last line, that if Sam's okay, so is Dean.

Ah man, that just sums up Dean beautifully. Everything is there but no one else get to see it unless they are really listening or looking.

Beautiful and sad because of what Dean puts himself through.
