Fic excerpt: Still untitle ex-femgen

This is the fic that ate my brain this year. It's not as long and complicated as Elemental or the Bloodline series but the tightness of the plot is what's killing me. I'm stuffing a whole lot of plot into less than 20 40 60 thousand words. Part of teh reason I want to do this well is because I had to flake out on femgenficathon for the first time in I think 3
