The first night shift always sucks, even if I'm doing nothing but night shifts this week. By night shifts, I mean 7pm-7am and yes there are breaks but re-training your internal clock for 3 days (nights?) is not easy. This is what I'm supposed to do to ensure adequate sleep ( Read more... )

That's right exactly. I'm 3 shifts on, 4 shifts off, each set being all days or all nights and it took 5 tries to type "shifts" properly that first time. The usual full time schedule is 4 on (2 days, 2 nights) and 5 off which is reasonable considering by the 4th shift, you're out of your mind with the time change.

I'd be okay with comment fic. ;)

ohgod that's inSANE. I'd honestly need sleeping pills + caffeine for that. Kudos to him & his discipline. Did he at least know his schedule a day or two ahead of time?

A comment fic is a fic (no matter the length) posted as a comment. Kind of like comment_fic community.

I suck down water like there's a drought. *L* By 0100 though, I'm FREEZING. I take a blanket out of the warming and I'm still freezing. I don't understand this phenomenon. I've tried drinking hot water and it's the same.

I can't afford blackout curtains. :( I may buy those eye-cover thingies though.
