I thought I'd share the fic eating my brain this weekend & the reason I needed help with Bruce Springsteen songs. It's a comicverse crossover of Superman/X-Men: What if the Summers' plane crashed in Smallville, Kansas

Thankies! It's definitely a healthy juggling of expository & description with as much dialogue as I can pull out of the boys but I guess that's what makes it a good exercise.

OMG, kiddie Clark with his "Gosh, shucks" is UTTERLY ADORABLE!! Don't know anything about any of the people except him and Scott, but I cannot wait to read more of this.
Heee! Thanks ever so! I'm finding as I write more, there are occasions when Clark seems more innocent than Scott if only because of his idealism and emotiveness.
Ooh, I love this start! Scott was always my favorite X-man, at least back in the day when I still read them. Interesting to see how he'll interact with young Clark as they grow up.
Thanks ever so! Scott's one of my favourites, too. In comics lately, he's been... well, less of a boyscout than he used to be in the 60's-90's (not that he was a perfect boyscout to begin with but others more eloquent than I have written about that) for a variety of reasons. Given a choice, I wouldn't have put him and Clark together in a fic because they're quite similar at the core and I wouldn't've thought there would be dynamic interaction but apparently I'm not in charge of my own brain this year because all these damn characters keep ignoring me and over my stories.
