Vancouver should be visited any time between late May to early September for the best weather. There's still snow in Whistler-Blackcomb if they desperately want it. However, going to the very peak of Whistler mountain on a clear, crisp winter day and looking out into the ranges brings to mind the mountain-top signal fires scene in Return of the King. It takes my breath away every time.

... of course, this could also because it was very cold and I was about to hurtle myself off said peak while strapped to waxed snowboard with only a large pompom on my toque to protect my fool head. Maybe.

Try a poutine. Your arteries will never recover Hahahahahaha *wheezes wheezes* Poutine is scary seriously.

We wanted (aka Dad wanted) to come here for the Olympics - I honestly don't know what happened to this idea, it would have been all kinds of awesome.

I hope Vancouver will survive the onslaught of people coming and that everyone will have a blast!

It's DELICIOUS. One of my cousins who used to live here visited over the Great Christmas Boondoggle and one day, out of nowhere, she suddenly yelled out, "I NEED A POUTINE. NOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW!"

And so we got one.

And it was good.

OMG YAY OLYMPICS YAY YAY YAY YAY VANCOUVER GLEEEEEEE!!! \o/

In all seriousness, you make me REALLY ENVIOUS that I cannot come. ONE DAY I WILL NOT BE BROKE AND I WILL COME TO VANCOUVER AND IMPOSE ON OUR FRIENDSHIP!

Also, Katt. Did you really just endorse a food orginally from Quebec? Are you feeling all right?

I know, I know but it's a POUTINE. Also, the francophone pronunciation for poutine sounds like Putin (as in Vladimir). Randomly. ;)

.....Katt. I am conflicted. Because that kind of makes it awesome, but I do not think I can eat Putin. I would be too scared!!

...And when I phrase it that way, it REALLY frightens me.

You've probably just written the best guide to the Olympics possible. It's concise, funny, and TRUE. Every word.

*straps in* It's gonna be an interesting couple weeks, lemme tell you.

I'm so very disappointed in a lot of the choices VanOC and the municipal government has made but I hope to God it's a ripping success for the locals to off-set the debt. Did you hear there might be 3 hour waits in some of the train stations? URGH. Does your school have an Olympic break as well?

There's so much that's wrong, but so much that could be right if cards are played properly.

I did hear about those three hour waits. I don't know if I should be laughing or crying at those ads for transit that are recommending you dress warmly and wear sensible shoes, since you'll be waiting a while.

Alack and alas. The school I'm working is in the wrong district to qualify for an Olympic break. On the bright side, we get to watch events in my Social Studies class, and it's totes fine since it can be justified under BC IRP requirements. Hee!

If the weather patterns prove true, we're going to be wearing shorts real soon. Why they proposed February instead of January is beyond me. Chalk that up to VANOC again. *eye roll*

BabySister's dancing in the closing ceremonies! She says we're not going to see her though so either she's in a crowd or she'll be dressed as a snowball. ;)
