Lois Lane doesn't panic; she has a Japadog with all the fixings

One of the best parts of my life is when I take the dogs for a walk, choosing a particular route through downtown. After about ten minutes, I see the Marine Building on the corner of Burrard and West Hastings, a gorgeous example of Art Deco architecture. And also the building used for the exteriors of the Daily Planet in Smallville. I giggle to ( Read more... )

Mashed potato, wasabi mayo, and cabbage on a hotdog?

...Yeah, Lois Lane would love it. *sporfle*

It's not a wiener; they're real sausages. It's like a dinner made by your Polish grandmother that your Japanese boyfriend packed up for lunch.

Hey, you called them hot dogs first. *points up*

Srsly though, that is awesome. I think I'd like it. Also, it's incredibly cool that you live in Vancouver and get to see the Smallville sets every day. :D

I meant to type "not JUST a wiener.;" I got too excited. ;)

I'm so very geekishly proud of being in Smallville/Metropolis. "Downtown" Smallville is 30 minutes away from my parents' place; my friends from high school live in the area and the street is still great for antiquing. Name-the-Filming-Location is a fun game. I always see the Skytrain in Metropolis' background. I'm pretty sure when I ride the train, I see A Street In Metropolis set. I should take more pictures of the Marine Building. It's a gorgeous old place.

Come back up to Vancouver for a visit. Hang out at Burrard near the hospital or just past West Hastings in front of the Scotia Bank. Come early; the line ups are killer.
