Why I love being a geek in Vancouver

So I'm driving to practicum on Friday, staring mindlessly at the buildings in around me as you are wont to do when faced with the start of a 3-11PM shift. The building in front of me looked very familiar. I thought maybe it was one of the buildings that I always took note of; the architecture very art deco and self-consciously hearkening to "olden ( Read more... )

I literally went "EEEEE!" in the car. *LMAO* oh dorkiness.

I actually have a lot of fun guessing the filming locations for SV, SPN, X-Men movies, etc. Extra chocolate if I can actually pinpoint it within a 3 block radius. Double shots if I can name the intersection. Sometimes I even play with other people. ;)

Dude! I am so dying of envy here. Not only does Denver utterly lack the Daily Planet, we just lost one of our newspapers with no notice what so ever. It's official. Colorado is where the liberal media goes to die.

Yes they are lovely... when they arn't on fire. Still not as cool as the Daily Planet. It's hard out here for a geek.

Yup, it's Vancouver, BC where half of everything is filmed. Or at least it used to be; I'm not quite sure on the current state of the film industry. I do know this is the homebase for Supernatural and Smallville. They also taped most of the Marvel movies here. I didn't have time to stalk the Wolverine set, dammit.
