But thank you for still liking it even after that rather large mistake. *L* Chloe really did right by Conner; Clark and Lois are just reinforcing her parenting.
Heh, elevator fight! I love the cap you put in there, that's one of my absolute favorite S8 scenes. I can't stop LOLing at the thought of Clark's biological clock ticking. Also: "I know you don't need it but this time, I want a chance to give you something you want." Aww, Lois. I always love fic that explore just how much she loves Clark. We get a lot of stories about Clark being in love with Lois, but I can never get enough of reading/watching the other side. I think this is why I love S8 so much (so far, at least) - it tells the love story from Lois's point of view (as radioreverie pointed out much more eloquently here).
I'll stop rambling now. Needless to say, I love Clark and Lois here. I'm worried about the risks they're taking, the strain it can put on both of them, the consequences it'll have on their relationship. I'm very eager to read more.

Back to business: I LOVED the Nine-and-a-Half-Weeks scene, too! Well, Season 8 in general rocks but OH, Lois' deadly finger poke! L* You and radioreverie are right; many versions of the Superman mythos don't take into account Lois side of the romance. I believe the most recent comicbook age has Lois falling in love with Clark, being very aware that her crush on Superman is just that: a crush. A love like theirs wouldn't be so strong if only one side was crazy mad in love.
As for Conner, Chloe really continued the fine tradition of adopting and fostering children from the House of El to grow up to be Very Nice Boys in the truest sense of the word.
