Wow, I just found this story to be so adorable and also very moving. The relationship between Clark and Kon in this is so sweet and so...I guess sad, because of all of Clark's regrets about Kon's death.

I really liked this story, you did a very good job.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it.

A lot of my Clark & Kon fics stem from my frustration with how DC depicted their relationship. It just never made sense in my head because Clark has always been rather starved for family, specifically, family like him. Why wouldn't he completely smother Kon the way he did Kara in Superman/Batman?

Ah wow thats exactly how I felt about the relationship too! Clark always comes off as this distant and usually annoyed with Kon rather than embracing him like a son or little brother. Its probably one of the reasons why I disliked Clark for awhile...he always seemed like a dick to Kon.

I never read any of the canon during Kon's time, but I always thought it odd that Clark wouldn't have embraced him, because as mentioned here, he loved Kara and has always been family-oriented. Very odd.

Precisely! So either he really was a dick, he had some weird Clark-ish reason for keeping Kon away or all their interaction happened off-panel. Obviously, I prescribe to the last 2 theories. ;)
