What another fabulous chapter from you. It's amazing how well thought this story is. I can't imagine the effort that must go into writing it. The characters are so well written and you've covered all the details.

I grinned like a dork when Clark got the upper hand on Lex. Conner/Lois bonding was fun and Lana's jealousy made me roll my eyes. I suppose I can see her plight but really, at this point, I have no lost love for Lana Lang.

The switching POVs is going very smoothly and this story is really made of win.

By the way, your Green Arrow rocks! I love Oliver Queen and to see him there is funny. BC/GA fighting like early Lois and Clark made me giggle.

Excellent chapter. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Thanks so much for the update!

Hello again! It's always awsome to get my weekly egoboo from you ;)

I will admit it took a while to write this fic, not only because of time constraints but because I wanted to get the plot and the characters straight. I'm a bit of a dork when it comes to research. With some stories (like the sequel to this damned thing, Sunshine), the story tears out of my head full-grown like Athena from Zeus. The more involved the plot, the more I bug my friends and betas-- who have amazingly REMAINED my friends and betas-- for months, bouncing ideas, scenarios, and characteristics. I'm afraid I'm too anal to plot by the seat of my pants-- I need diagrams and outlines. *L* After the first draft, I angst, whine and throw it at my betas. They return it full of marks then I angst white and edit some more. *L*

In conclusion, I'm really pleased that you like Conner-Lois bonding; I LOVE the idea of Lois & Con/Kon getting along in all 'verses.

"But you eventually figured out that bickering was actually a grown-up version of pushing people you like in kindergarten and you all lived happily ever after with roses and shit," drawled Conner. "Mom made me read Jane Austen, too."

*snicker*

I'm glad to see that Lex doesn't seem to know Clark's alter-ego, too. For some reason, I always suspect Smallville will go that route.

Lots of really good little interactions - my favorites were between Conner and Lana and Pete and Oliver. :)

Like Lois/Clark, Lex's obliviousness about Superman's identity is part of the Superman mythos. It wouldn't make sense to change that. And besides, if Lex knew about Clark in my little corner of the reality, you can bet your dickens that Martha, Clark, Lois, Chloe, Pete, the Daily Planet staff and anyone Clark has even sneezed at would've been rounded up and eliminated years ago.

Glad you're still enjoying!
