Snake barely noticed Lucifer pulling at the reins. He was too busy thinking. Fear had crept into his thoughts as they took the horses out of Antonio's trailer. Now, standing here on the beach, he was chain smoking and nervous. He glanced over at Xena and smiled before his eye turned back to the Atlantic. It looked angry today, grey and cold. Snake for once in his life didn't feel like that ocean but he was still afraid. What if they got stuck in the past or never got there in the first place? He took a deep breathe of the cold air and headed toward Xena smiling at her words.

Yeah, I'm ready baby.

He put his hand on her shoulder and whispered.

I'm sure you'll do fine.

He Stepped in front of her to block the wind from the ocean seeeing that she was cold. He looked up when she closed her eyes curious to see what the transition was like. It was intruth fairly unimpresive and that disappointed him. Just like the transition to get him to that party, he blinked and he missed it. He heard her voice again and looked into her face.

It was still windy but the sun was much warmer on his coat then it had been. He was still too afraid to ask her if this was the right place.
