It was still jarring enough to flip it open and begin recording, though. The light is just dim enough that one could probably tell that there is a candle atop the table that Fenimore is trying to steady

I had to check something! Before I got in. What kind of person keeps talking to someone in the bath?!

That is the basic point I've been trying to drive here. That said, you were talking to me the entire time and you knew you were bathing all along!

[As much as she's a little grumpy over the journal doing its accidental recording thing, she can't help but giggle a little at the first part. She remembered him saying about the prediction being meaningless before, so it had been intended as a joke for all that she delivered it as though she were serious.]

Sure. I'll let her know you were asking after her. [Now she has to figure out how to slowly close hers without, you know, flashing whoever comes on next.]
