[Fenimore is still not very adept with the journal system, so she spent about ten minutes trying to turn on the voice feature before eventually giving up. Unbenownst to her, though, she actually did turn it on, so the following is a mixture of voice (normal text) and written (italics).]

Thank you. [She smiles as she takes the hat, although it's more than a little chilly and it doesn't match the sharp look in her eyes.]

In the future, perhaps it would be wise for you not to take other people's things.

[ffffffff. Well, there's not really much she can say to that because it is true.]

I--that's because I had just arrived and didn't know where I was!

[She pauses, thinking.] ... mm. Still, I appreciate that you returned it; you could have kept it, and I would not have known. Thank you for your honesty.

[Boy, you speak awkwardly formally. But Fenimore has better tact than to bring that up now.]

Uh, sure. You're welcome.

... you have my thanks for that as well, then. [Not that she remembers it being dirty while she had it, but.]

Yeah, uh, welcome. [It wasn't, but Fenimore wasn't going to risk Seles complaining that she had gotten it dirty.

She shuffles her feet a bit.] So, yeah. That's over with. Thanks and all.

There's no point in discussing it further, I suppose. [She nods, and bobs her head in Fenimore's direction.] Thank you for returning my hat. Goodbye.

[She then turns to leave.]

[And she'll do the same. I am frankly amazed that ended without one of them blowing up at the other.]
