As many of you know, I am a college senior dorming at Five Towns College, a music business/performing arts college in Long Island, New York.  I transferred here in 2009, after graduating from Suffolk Community College (Also in LI) with a vocal performance degree.  Little did I know that I was admitting myself into one of the most corrupt ( Read more... )

Wow, what a greedy prick! Why is this guy still President? Can't someone impeach him or something? Geez, haha. He just sounds awful.

I'm glad to hear the students are pleasant, though. At the very least you've got that, I suppose. *gives you a supportive pat on the back* Hope things start looking up at the college, even if you are graduating soon!

And to think I was looking at SUNY for grad school a decade ago. I agree with maggie_strange that someone should impeach this guy. I realize it will be more difficult with a president of a private school. However, this sounds like gross mismanagement to me.

What a bummer that things are so crazy there.

Btw, I was thinking about you since I started the Mahler project. Nice to see you update here.

You know what completely puzzles me about the auditorium is that... I know there are schools - not colleges, just high schools, here, that have their own auditoriums and performance spaces, and while they do cost a lot of money to maintain, those schools a) have a pretty strong focus on the performing arts; b) they usually rent those out.

And. Huh. Banning Shakespeare? o_O

I'm sorry you're stuck in the situation, but I'm glad you're graduating soon and out of that admin mess!
