I'm an L fan through and through. It's even my nickname in our school organization. So I lost interest in the manga after I learned of L's death in chapter 58 (??? it's been so long I've forgotten which one is it). I love Death Note! Love it love it love it! And I swear L is awesome! I still find it hard to believe that he's voiced by Yamaguchi Kappei!
In the anime I it interesting that most scenes had him eating a sweet, Near playing with toys and Mello eating chocolate...each time they were trying to piece things together about 'Kira'.
Gakuen Heaven is in my fave anime list...I love Takuto and Umino-sensei...I even downloaded the character song album and the opening theme School Boys. Have you seen Meine Liebe? It's serious...but not too much so for my liking...Naoji (Ishida-san's character) is my fave of course! ^^ Oh, did you see Harukanaru Toki no Naka de? *sighs dreamily* Yasuaki...
