there is NOTHING in the United States Constitution that says we should have Separation of church and state:
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. The amendment does not read "seperation of church and state"--it plainly reads that congress can not make the laws which establish a national religion

Alabama's constitution has some crap about letting "God" into their court house and blah Christian crap blah.
