Well, with the exception of "essential" departments, the Michigan state government has been shut down. That means no more liquor sales once the stores and bars run out, no more rest areas on the highways, and a whole slew of other things. Wonder what'll happen now...

so they shut down the govt and raised the tax that is ridiculous! I thought I heard on the radio that they just raised taxes to 7 cents instead of 6. This really sucks!!!!!! I was suppose to get state insurance for my baby this month and suppose to get my license this month-fuck the govt!

The gov't was only shut down for 4 hours this morning. They raised taxes because Michigan has a nearly $2 billion dollar deficit. Fun stuff, eh?
