CD's are expensive. When I was in high school they weren't as expensive because my dad was a member of a really cool record store and I got them discounted. This was before Napster, Audiogalaxy, Kazaa, and Soulseek were around so all the new music I was exposed to came from friends, concerts, or just buying CD's. Even when Napster became popular
