Aww I did not lie to you, honestly. It's the song that lead me on, not my own writing. It's quite weird the way this came out; I just wrote down the lyrics of the song, pulled them apart in sentences and all I had to do was fill in the gaps inbetween with the images that came to me while listening to it.

As I said, I have written things before but none of them are anything remotely like this. This may be the best I've ever written and ever will write, so anything else will just look disappointing in comparison. At least to me. ^.^

Having that off my chest, I just wanna say I love that you took the time to read and comment on this. Having a writer like you whom I admire so much telling me that my writing is beautiful and vivid feels wholly undeserving, but yeah, I totally won't deny that it made me smile like Dom winning an award.

wheee!
re-read this one last night :-) and again, i have to point out how much i luuuurves the setting. i dont know why this subject isnt brought up more often in fics - the weight of responsability, the pressure. so well painted by you in here.

dom's role - so very believable.

He suggests strolling through the city of our current location to take my mind off stuff, and I tell him I'm not interested. He invites me to join dinner together with Chris and Tom before the gig starts, and I say I'm not hungry. He asks me to come out and party with the crew afterwards, but I decline and move to retreat to my hotel room.

^great stuff.

I cannot help but feel a sick amount of glee at the brief pain I've inflicted on him,

^and isnt this true of so many times when we are fighting with someone! even when we know deep inside we are wrong.

wish i had your mastery of the english language, too, sigh. i swear i'm losing skills as the years go by. should be the other way around! lol!

I knew I had read this before and I didn't find anything wrong with it the first time either. It's stunning! The feelings you wrote were so powerful and intense. It was almost palpable.

I love stories like these when one of them realizes their love for the other. And this is was just brilliant!

I hope you write more soon!

*hugs*

Thanks so much for commenting, I didn't expect it so that makes it even more of a pleasant surprise!

The thing I've changed about mostly is how I managed to switch the perspection of Dom in the first draft. First Matt described him as "you" and somewhere along the line of that first conversation he suddenly switched to "him/he."

Someone, I forgot who, pointed that out to me in the comments on that post and I couldn't let go of it. I can't describe how good it feels to finally be able to let that go, now. I think this will always stay in my mind and I will always find things I'd like to edit, again. Which is why I'm a terrible writer. Things are never to my approval.

This is one of the only things I've felt good enough about to let go and I'm glad I did. So unless a small story like this hits me again and I will feel (at least) 90% happy with it, you won't see anything else from me except long reviews. ^.^

But thank you, again, for reading and mostly for understanding the feelings that went along with this. It's all the song's ( ... )

My goodness, this was so breathtakingly tender. It was perfect! The flow, the feeling, the over-all tone you took in your writing... it wasn't overwhelmingly ANGSTY or too understated. It was just exactly how I would picture both of them in a situation like that.

I never felt the need to make anything of it as I won't be posting a lot anyway.

*pouts* Well, I certainly am hoping that's not true.

Beautiful piece. Thank you so much for sharing it. <3

Perfect? That word scares me. I am a terrible perfectionist. Being that it should mean that I will strive for perfection and will not be able to be satisfied until whatever-the-subject, is so ( ... )

But then, having that paired with my utter lazyness and laid-back attitude means that I do a lot of thinking about how things could be perfect, for me, but not doing a thing about it.

Haha, I know the feeling you're describing there a little too well, I think. I'm sorry; I certainly hope I haven't caused you any distress by calling this perfect! I don't mean to send you into a tizzy of questioning/over-analyzing. It's just what I honestly think of this. ;)

So there you have it, both my appreciation for your comment and an explanation as to why I will, most likely, not post any more in one overwhemingly angsty post. :P

Lol, I understand. <3

Oh, and while I got your attention (I mean, unless you've fallen asleep by now):

Where are you, Appetite 17!?Sorry, I did fall asleep for a while, there! :S ( ... )

UGH!!!! Not only do I love the song, this just goes GREAT with it...

I think you nailed it. How they are off stage, the worry, stress, them fighting sometimes.

Your use of language is amazing! There's a smartness to his thoughts that could be so much like how he really thinks, like you're inside his head... really well done :) you smartie!

The huuug <3

"parading in those tight skinnies" XD lol

And that last bit... to die for!!!!!!! <3

You SHOULD write more often!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3

Aww, isn't the song just perfect? I will always remember how I wrote this down, literally in one go while having that song, and others by Saybia on repeat the whole time. :) So glad you're starting to like them as well, I finally have a bud to go to the concert with! Gonna be great!

I wouldn't daaaare in my wildest dreams to be able to pen down Matt's mind. It must be so weird, scary, chaotic but oh-so-beautiful inside there! But I am glad that you think I did well :)

I really should, because I enjoy it once I get things going. I'm just a lazy bastard who keeps making excuses not to write... It's getting myself to write that's toughest, and being such a perfectionist and never happy with my own work (except this one, then) doesn't help either...

Thank youuuuuuuuuu <3 *hugs as tightly as Dom hugs Matt*

I know, it's like finally meeting another Muser, except for this band :)

Hahaha I think you did a great job! I bet it's smart in there :)

I know what you mean, getting started + perfectionist... I'm a lot like that :)

Awwwwhhh *huuuuuugggzzz*
