That could have so happened if Lilah had come into Giles' life. She's very good at bringing out that dark side of people. And I love that the change took place over time until it was a complete transformation.

I would've loved to see Lilah get her claws in him during the summer between S4 and S5 since he was planning on leaving Sunnydale then. This would also be the time Darla was raised by WRH and Lilah was sort of pushed out of that by Lindsey. They could 'bond' over things. ;-)
