I was fussing her, and she went to clean/bite herself and caught me. I almost passed out... :/

Is her skin okay? If you touched a sore or itchy patch, that could explain the biting. A proper hard bite sounds defensive rather than playful...

She's pretty sore atm... She keeps biting herself (one reason we're moving is 'cause she's got probably a flea allergy to this house...) and I put my hand in the way to stop her biting her skin, and, well, yes...

barakta's mum's cat is allergic to fleas, and if he doesn't get regular flea treatment (the proper injection one you get from the vet seems to be by far the most effective) his skin will go all scabby and itchy, and he tends to attack anyone who touches him.
