So here's the deal, guys and girls: I'm doing this degree thing, right, and to my utter shock, it actually needs some, you know, concentration. And since I have no willpower worth speaking of, I'm declaring a technologically enforced:

It's sucky, but if I want to so much as PASS this year, I'm going to have to take drastic measures! ^_^

LeechBlock, on the surface at any rate, seems pretty amazing! You can specify which DAYS you'd like to have these sites blocked, or give yourself a certain number of hours per week, or give yourself hours per day when they're blocked - and you can bar yourself from being able to change the settings during the blocked periods, so you can't have a moment of weakness and go "OMG NEED LIVEJOURNAL."

obviously, this experiment starts tomorrow, so fingers crossed! But so far it seems really good... :D
