Possets:

Classics:
Madeira - The snootiest and richest area of Cincinnati, Madeira is where the chi-chi live in their big big houses. At Christmastime some ride their horses from house to house carolling on horseback and drinking toasts at their neighbor's houses out of silver cups. I invented the scent of Madiera with rich dark red fruits and loads of dry classiness. So there is some fun amidst the stuffiness, and enough stuffiness to make it fun. Characteristics: warm, red, fruity, unisex, sophisticated, languid summer scent.
Madame X - Wicked, sinful, hedonistic, and irresistable. You may not have the heart to play the femme fatale, but you can at least smell the part. It's musky, creamy, enticing, perfumy, slightly foody, but very skin-like. It has a profound effect on men, they have no idea of what is bothering them ...it's you. It has a profound effect on the wearer as well. Since I created Madame X I have changed my hairstyle, bought a gorgeous black strapless long dress (and have a place to wear it) and many other disturbing personality changes, too. Don't miss out on Madame X. The more I wear this one, the more I love her. Characteristics: musky, creamy, feminine, scent locket.
Orion - The first unabashedly masculine Posset, and the first of The Constellations, Orion is probably the most recognizable star set out there. Possets rendition is woody in extremis but not obnoxiously loud. Very masculinely charming, outdoors in a very sophisticated way, a hard outside with a very warm heart. This one features Oude, rare and unexpected woods and smoked vanilla. Very sexy. If it were a person, it would be Oliver Mellors from Lady Chatterly's Lover. Characteristics: woody, sophisticated, masculine, home scent, long lasting.
The Gingerbread Whorehouse - That gingerbread house from your childhood? Well the neighborhood has changed and now it sports a red light out front! Very foody, very sweet, very sexy, very grown up in a sex kitten way. This is European Gingerbread given an American Cajun jolt with the spices, cher! Mmmm. Unisex, sexy-sex, and wow. Oh, the sign outside does say,"Ho Ho Ho House". Heh. You might end up with a whole new reputation.
Glee - Oh, the Glee of spring! Here it is. Another chocolate scent but this one is, how you say, spicy? No, it's oriental and choco... No. It's...it's...it's... Oh, heck. You just have to try this one and supply your own description. Words fail even me, and I warn you it is not stable! I love this stuff. Love it. However, it turns on my skin. Just let it dry and it Hates me. I hope it does not happen to you. Most of the time if a scent does not agree with me I don't offer it, but this time I think that Glee is so good that I offer it with the warning and let you know that I love it and wear it in my scent locket. That's right, it's that good. Give it a try and see what you think. Amended to say: for some celestial reason my skin stopped hating Glee. I am so happy. But try this stuff anyway. It is really good. Characteristics: Chocolate, foody, woody, unisex, scent locket, modern, home scent.
The Girls Love Vanilla! - For anyone who loves loves loves the smell of vanilla, this is the supersaturated honey soaked, sinful, hedonistic custom rare and unabashed blend you have been waiting for. Outrageously lovely. Too pretty for angels almost, but not too pretty for you! Characteristics: vanilla, honey, sweet, foody.
The Girls Love to Go Clubbing! - Imagine the thump of Club Bee music, the Girls show up and they are Dressed To Kill! Those wasp waists and big black eyes! That hair, those black leggings! The haze of clove with honey and other things. Yes. It's going to be a good evening! Characteristics: spicy, honey, sophisticated.
High Tea - High Tea was rousted out of retirement by popular demand in 2007. A very true to tea blend it has the wonderful characteristic of being warming in the winter and cooling in the summer. Infused with lemon, sugar, milk, and that indescribable scent of the best starched linens, High Tea is your antidote to vulgarity. Always right for the moment and universally admired. This is tea at its most Possety. Characteristics: unisex. refreshing, tea, sweet, cooling, summer scent, warming winter scent.
Flossing - A pretty, dear and yet spicy little blend. Flossing is named after the dainty stitching put on many corsets to keep the stays in place. A comforting blend of gingery peppery small vanilla and wood, Flossing is very cheery and is like being the Queen in a Sewing Bee! This is a marvelous everyday perfume which can lift your spirits immensely. Highly recommended as a first Posset for the persnickety or those who want to try Possets but are diffident about it. Characteristics: foody, vanilla, sensous, feminine, scent locket.

Naturals:
A Snowflake in the Martini (Peppermint top note) - Imagine an inky dark night in winter. You are on the veranda with a perfectly made martini in hand. It is crystalline and has a satiny olive speared and mating with the gin and vermouth. But before you can brush the glass with your breath, a snowflake the size of a small saucer floats into your drink, flattens itself on the surface and dissolves immediately. It is the best martini you ever had. A Snowflake in the Martini goes through every one of these phases and finally comes to rest in a state where alcohol and sophistication intersect. Cold cold peppermint begins the story. Characteristics: foody, invigorating, scent locket, home scent, unisex, sophisticated, natural, cooling, summer scent.
Epinoia - "Epinoia" is a state of mind where one is possessed by a fit of supernatural creativity. The perfume Epinoia is a concoction of natural indulgences: cocoa, sweet spice, classy citrus, and vanilla. The natural perfume lovers' answer to foody scents, luscious. I like this one better than the synthetics by a country mile. Keep out of reach of children and adults with a sweet tooth. There is nothing but hedonistic indulgence in Epinoia, nothing good for you or medicinal just pure unabashed luxury.* Characteristics: fruity, orange, chocolate, unisex, scent locket, home scent.
Hearts and Flowers - The natural lovey scent! Real cocoa and real Bulgarian rose make love to each other with the intervention of several angelic other ingredients...just like true love! Everything a girl could want, and more. This is the best of the most scrumptious, almost edible but that would be a shame, now, wouldn't it? Characteristics: foody, chocolate, floral, scent locket, home scent, natural.
SuperEgo - Poor Super Ego has such a bad rap! But, this one is fun to wear. Super Ego is all natural (and adheres to all the rules put down for a 100% natural scent from Possets) but instead of being hard to take, Super Ego concentrates on a thoroughly grounded feel to the chocolate and rather melts with lovely earthy notes and spikes of tonka hidden in the background (among other things). Super Ego reminds me of an ancient Greek play, very tight and perfectly well put together. Characteristics: Lavender, sophisticated, unisex, chocolate, scent locket.

Seasonals:
Churpz - Named after the marshmallow chicks so common at this time of year, Churpz is all fluffy puffy fun and nothing instructive, corrective, or refined. Churpz is simple all-out pleasure in things which are sweet and gooey and a mental orgasm. My antidote to goody goody living.
Final Snow - Refreshing and a bit wistful, sweet and pretty but with an edge, Final Snow marks where the cool and warm fragrances converge and this one was a bit of a gamble but I really love the way it came off. This is more of a snow in a stronger sun, a bit of mint and a bit of water as it melts away. This one is still pretty wintery but it's starting to be a warm watery scent rather than an icy cold one. Unisex, semi-sweet, watery, refreshing.
Strawberry Heart - Sweet, simple, lovely. Scrumptious strawberry untrammeled by anything other than the most perfect of vanillas. Other people dip their berries in chocolate, let them, we have found the ultimate in indulgence. So. Very. Good. Have you ever noticed how strawberries look just like little hearts? Sweet, foody, innocent, girly, divine.

The USA:
Maine-The Pine Tree State - Maine-The Pine Tree State (the State of Reality)-Seashore, rocky beaches and huge swaths of pine forests with their resiny smell, bluest skies filled with puffy cloud ships setting sail for the Old World. The sea and land mix here in a smooth collision of ocean and the conifers, and those lilacs...the most beautiful lilacs in the world when they are in bloom. Despite the flowers, it's unisex and gorgeous.
Ohio-The Buckeye State - Ohio-The Buckeye State (the Current State of Affairs)-Well, this one is in the Midwest (which is noted for its simple and delicious fare), a foody blend here several delectable chocolates play serious footsie with nuts and gooey delights. This harkens to the candy called "buckeyes" which is a combination of nut butters and chocolate.
The real buckeye is a native chestnut, but it's the symbol of Ohio because President Harrison was being reviled as a &^*%#$@ "buckeye" who was only fit to sit in a log cabin and drink hard cider. Well, his supporters turned that observation into a campaign plus by painting the candidate as a wise populist and the rest is history. Go Buckeyes! Yum!
California-The Golden State - California-The Golden State (the State of Make-Believe)-Golden, sunny citrus and honey. A small desert flower blooms but way in the distance, and you have to admit that this really is a beautiful place. Much more honied than floral, unbelievalbly pretty (but a man could get away with wearing it). It's like an American Chypre with the orange and sunny parts of the resins.
Oregon-The Clockwork Kumquat - To me Oregon has always been like the Uranus of American states, eccentric but with gravitas. One of a kind. Bracing but weirdly enchanting. They say "go away" but I think they mean stick around. Kumquat, something very smooth and foody, very old and very good patchouli (but just a drop) and a super secret ingredient which would have you shaking your head and saying "hunh?" so I won't tell you what it is. But honestly, this is the most curious and compelling combination since Lucy and Desi. Strangely sexy as well, so if you like to be thought of as being strangely sexy, this is the blend for you.
Rhode Island-Take Tea and Sea - Think of something bracing, curious, and refreshing. Rhode Island is all of those things. There is little which is finer than tea on the lawn of one of the "cottages" at the height of summer and the air is cool and you can sense the sea. Such an interesting place. Not at all sweet and the essence of a "dry" scent, there are small hallucinations which haunt you in the summer, and sometimes you can't tell if you are outside or inside. This perfume captures the beautiful memory, the relaxed good manners of that place. It just quietly states,"I am well bred".
Texas-Dark Sweet Crude - Texas...hard state to pin down. Famous for its oil boom of the mid '50's, big as all get out, an astoundingly childlike yellow rose, the smallest amount of sagebrush, a hint of leather, grass and the open scent of mesquite growing, Texas is surprisingly pretty for a scent to capture such a cowboy state, unexpectedly sophisticated, and incorporating all the polish of the finest Mexican influence. Texas is really spectacular.
Utah-Bear Lake - Many years ago my husband and I visited Bear Lake in Utah. It was raspberry season and we were lucky enough to get the local confection, a raspberry milkshake made with berries picked that day. We took it out to picnic tables around the little kiosk which sold them and the scent of the summer sun hitting the mountain lake, crystalline air, the milky raspberry shakes were at once cooling and comforting. I recreated that idyll here.
Vermont-Sweet New England - When I think of Vermont, I think of Ben and Jerry's. I think of maple syrup, I think of a comfortable place which is endlessly fascinating. The Possets version of Vermont is sweet and very smooth but not cloying. Slightly herbal, shot of lime, with a thick overlay of part of the smell of maple syrup. I am finding myself wanting to make a desert of foods which are represented in here. Yummy.
West Virginia-Heartbreak Ridge - Dark and masculine but very attractive, there is more than a bit of romantic melancholy about West Virginia. Rushed dreams, dreams fought for, dreams barely fulfilled and dreams, which flourished like goldenrod. Warm to hot spice combined with a stiff shot of alcohol washed down with something sweet. Heady and good.
