I am a little surprised that it is Colorado of all states that are in the last two! :)

I know! I am not sure how I managed to miss it on every cross-country drive! :)

AK and HI here. Though some of my "visited" states are merely "drove through."

if you drive through a state, you've seen more of it than someone who say, just lands at an airport. so I count the ones I've driven through but if I had a layover in Denver, I wouldn't count that towards CO. Most states I've spent a fair amount of time in though.
