through the night, to the light, to the morning light

I started watching the Kimi wa Petto drama, and I'm stupidly happy over it. What is this? I had kinda been avoiding romance drama because I thought they would just be boring, but I made an exception for Kimi we Petto because of the whole keeping a guy as a pet thing. I kind of had an image of, in romance drama, an uninteresting, unrelatable, flat ( Read more... )

Kimi wa Petto is one of my favorite dramas, mainly because the story is quite unusual, as it goes against society's social and moral standards by introducing a character who is so willing to be degraded and what's 'worse', it uses 'love' as its excuse, giving it a distinction from your usual shoujo stories.
And partly because I have a huge crush on Koyuki, and MatsuJun was qt as.... the pet(forgot his name). =3=

You should do the list and if you throw who you ship from Arashi in there, then all the better. xD

The unconventional relationship is certainly what first drew me to the series. I really love how it's portrayed as a positive influence on the characters involved in spite of what their friends see it as (at least in what I've watched so far).

MatsuJun is so adorable as Momo that it's seriously making me like him more. I used to think he wasn't really my type, but Kimi wa Petto is making me wonder.

I figured if I did it, my Arashi ships would probably end up there one way or another. ^^

I love Kimi wa Petto. I watched it before I even knew about Johnny's, so I think my attraction for it is largely unbiased. I admired what it tackled in terms of relationships, and I loved that Sumire is still adamant about being serious about certain things; she learns a lot from Momo and her coworkers, but she also just listens to herself sometimes, which is better than heel turns.

Oooh, I'd like to see that list! I can't guarantee knowing every single fandom, but it'd be interesting to see.

Sumire's really a great main character in that she's well-developed enough to carry the story mainly with her personality and her problems and her growth.
