Why do you believe God created man?

I don't particularly think God created anything. Are you working from the perspective of a particular faith?

So, does that mean you don't believe in God?

And I'm just asking a question.

That's correct.

There are many different gods, whose scripture gives a wide array of explanations for mankind, is why I asked. I enjoy the philosophy of a few.

So how did mankind start then?

It was a faith handed down by our ancestors. I can't say that I entirely follow everything written but... I do believe in a single God.

I do, but I struggle with figuring out the purpose of mankind.

I know what I should believe...

I'm not always sure I do.

Why do you ask?

Curiosity. I didn't realize places like this existed, until now. It's not common for humanity to believe in one God. But here, things seem to be different.

Not everyone believes in one God. Certainly not the same God, and not always one. Judeo-Christianity, as much as we like to pretend it is, is far from the only gig in town.

I realised I may have misunderstood the question.

Were you asking why we hold the belief God is the creator of man... or what do we think motivated God to create man.

Judeo-Christianity? Is that a common belief of humans?

And you could answer either question, but I'm mainly interested in what you think motivated Him.

So there's a history of people believing in multiple gods. Much of humanity still believes in them. That doesn't make it true.

I sincerely doubt that's true.

If you were scared of the truth, why did you ask?

I'm not scared. I just think you're misunderstanding God's intentions.
