((((Xalle))))

It was when my dad lost the need for sleep (strange but true) and began to let himself out the house and knock on neighbours windows in the middle of the night, and break into their cars that he was put on the list for the St John's secure unit, but he spent a time in hospital waiting for a place to come up because we werent able to cope with him as he got violent when we tried to stop him doing what he wanted.

So I find it very ......unfair...that their criteria doesnt include those things.

But I also know of someone who waited 6 years for a place to come up in the same home for her husband because he was bed bound and she was deemed to be coping with the help of a carer a couple of times a day.

But the whole system stinks really, there just isnt enough real help for people who so badly need it.

Know that I am thinking about you, petal, and I am here if you need someone to talk to ((((hugs))))

I am sorry to laugh but the great escape sounded exactly what my gran did. Never a dull moment at least.

No need to apologise! I don't think some things can help but be funny, even if they do stem from a serious situation. I laughed my legs off when I was told. :D
