Are you waffling over a few, or every minor available?

A few, really. I'm trying to decide between something in English or Political Science or International Relations.

I guess depends on where your interest lies, or what you want to end up doing with your journalism degree. Could you double minor? I bet there's a lot of overlap between poli sci and int'l relations.

The only reason I'm considering a minor is because my advisor said that I brought in so many credits from high school that I could be done with my journalism degree fairly early. I'll see if I can double minor because that would be great if I could.

There's definitely an overlap between polisci and IR. A lot of my courses are cross-listed as both. I guess you could always double minor, but I'd ask you what it is you'd want to do with a minor in either one? If you're focused on, well, global issues and foreign states and how they interact with each other, etc, I'd say just do IR. Because in polisci you'd have to take a bunch of specific courses that focus on domestic policy, law, admin, etc. That stuff never really interested me, which is why I chose IR. It's not really as though I'm not learning what I would if I'd stayed with polisci, either, because I still do comparative politics and economics and stuff - just on an international scale, which I feel will really serve me better, because I'm planning on working abroad, not domestically. Er...yeah. :D Then again, if it really would take such a short time to do both, then go for it! It's just that I learned a hard lesson when I tried to take on too much at once (double majors and minors when I didn't even really know ( ... )
