Happy Banned Book Week! In celebration of the freedom to read what we will and as a minor stride in the fight against censorship, here are 13 Books that were Challenged or Banned in 2010-2011. You would think in modern society we'd be past this. All blacklisting accomplishes is making people more intrigued to read the books. lol

I have read 2 of those books, and am familiar with three more. It makes me wonder why anyone would want to ban them. If you don't like them don't read them.

Like Adelle said, you would think we'd be past this, already.

...sigh...

It seems like the populace is somehow determined to regress into a state of pure, willful ignorance. I keep hoping it'll change.

In the meantime I have to find several of these titles - they intrigue me.

I always love it when Diary of Anne Frank makes it onto a banned books list. *slapping forehead*
