I just had a pure LOL at the thought o the priest burping :p Its one of those moment at church type things when you want to laugh but its so utterly inappropriate that you're more likely to end up crying just to cover it up with some sort of noise :p

Yeah, its so weird that generations of people just go like that. You don't realise these things when you're a kid. Oh to be blissfully unaware of...well everything again!

I feel similar with religion. There's just so much of it that doesn't make sense to me. Like the bible says your not suppose to brag when you've done something good for another person. Helping them is your reward. But then we're suppose to go to mass every Sunday to praise God for all the good things in life. Seems like a contradiction. I don't think a book should tell you how to live your life I think you know yourself about right and wrong. It's a feeling.

It also bothers me the fact that I could save peoples lives, invent the cure for cancer, end world hunger, whatever...but I wouldn't get into heaven because I've had sex with my boyfriend before marriage. Crazy....

Yeah and thats to say nothing of the actual corporation of religion, where its ok for priests to physically abuse young boys in secret but as soon as one guy admits to being openly gay he's crucified.

Religion, life and death are great topic for talking and debate, and im sorry to hear about having a loss in yer family.
I have a shedload of opinions on it all, but I dont have the patience just now to lay them all down, could take me ages :P

I totally agree with the Lucifer thing - he was God's creation, hence God creates evil.
I'm not even sure I believe in it all too. It's just too convenient. (sp?!)

Also at a cremation I was at recently (is it bad that I can't remember if it were my cousin or my granda's friend?) the priest almost forgot to press the button to start the curtains moving and the coffin disappearing. He stood there for like, 30 seconds watching and waiting for it to happen by itself... not as mad as burping but I was still pretty annoyed! xo
