The Way I See It #21

People need to see that, far from being an obstacle, the world's diversity of languages, religions and traditions is a great treasure, affording us precious opportunities to recognize ourselves in others.

p.s. My two days in Toronto update coming up later.

I heartily agree! Capitalist globalization menaces all that rich linguistic, religious and cultural diversity. It's estimated that,by the end of this century,90% of the world's languages will be extinct-precious victims of English linguistic imperialism.Esperanto,as the international auxiliary language, is neutral, simple and logical. It should be taught in the world's schools to help protect all other languages.Interfaith dialogue is urgently needed to promote common respect, friendship and co-operation for world peace, economic and social justice, protection of animals and the whole biosphere.Enjoy Toronto!
