This is great! I wish I could muster more specific praise, but I'm exhausted. Know that it brought a smile to my face, though, that Penny's character development is so deftly done, so tightly packed, that we seem to know her very well indeed by the end of a relatively short space of words. Bravo!

No worries! ;-P

Thank you so much for your kind words, specifically in regards to Penny's characterization. I worked hard to incorporate aspects of her past that I've only touched upon in the larger 'verse, and I'm thrilled it worked for you.

Oh, very cool. I noticed that aspect, how Sam and Dean helped someone here without realizing it, before even seeing your author notes. That's always intrigued me, the way they brush through people's lives.

Great outsider pov, this captures how weird and charming Sam and Dean are.

Thank you so much for writing this for the challenge. :)

Thank you for holding the challenge! I love the whole concept behind the spn_xx community - although, one day, I hope to be inspired to use a canon character. (I keep waiting for my muse to be inspired by Missouri, but I digress...)

And thank you for your kind words. I love outsider POVs where the boys aren't noticeably hunters but they help someone all the same. (And there's actually more of Penny's take on them in another story but...that one's definitely het. ;-P)

What a delightfully told and well-written outsider perspective. Thank you for sharing it. :)

Thank you for your kind words!

I confess to being uncommonly fond of Penny, so I take the opportunity to write her whenever I can. ;-P

Oh, I liked that. Penny seems really interesting, and now I'm going to look at the other stories about her.

Thank you so much!

Penny is one of my favorite characters although I should warn you that the main storyline has flipping great wodges of het. ;-P But Penny is the other half of the Lia equation, as I know you've read "As She Hit the Open Road."
