So it was okay, then? I was actually somewhat worried about it, between the drunken dialect (even though I had rules for it) and the fact that I have never, ever, written a pegging scene.
I love Charlotte. I'm a Charlotte Webb Groupie... she's a study of contradictions and she's great.
Thank you so much! I'm a bit fond of her myself...
I wish I could write OC's like her; she's just perfect. Your characterisations are LOVE, Brannie!
Well... To be fair, I've had a lot of practice writing both Dean and Charlotte in the 'verse - and that's a big part of it for me. The SA 'verse is like wrapping myself up in my favorite sweater.
And, to also be fair, Charlotte was hit or miss for awhile. ;-P
Oh, and I love the idea of Dean in a kilt... *giggles*
I will refrain from listing the number of kinks this fic addressed...but a clever reader will note that I snuck in boots.

Enabler! Enabler.
Really, I will be coherent later, now, I just bask.

...not. ;-P
Seriously, I hope this helps a little with the AF fix. It actually turned out a wee bit angstier than I had intended - it was originally going to be "Dean and Charlotte go to a bar, get drunk and have wild monkey sex with toys."
Yeah, that worked out as well as the "Dean, Charlotte and Sam get drunk and have a threesome" idea...
Really, I will be coherent later, now, I just bask.
I am thrilled you liked it!

Really, I will get to coherence, I had a deep thought about this fic last night, but it totally got lost in the lyrics to "punk rock girl".
Like I already said, "Enabler!!!!!".
Merry Christmas, btw!!

well then, this was hot and it's about trust and letting other people take care of you and hotness! they're both so vulnerable to each other, but they're re-learning that they can safely be fragile and protected. and he assumes it's someone's birthday because he's still surprised that he's the occasion, and the love and trust are always there. oh dean!
loved the details about the music, the club, the clothes. ah, memories. :D
and sam is there - wee!Sam, and Sally's!Sam, and StrangeAngels'! Sam. i love how dean's introspection includes sam. i guess some of it is cause sam's as much a part of him as his left arm, but it's also because he still doesn't see himself as the guy who gets the Girl Genius who looks at him with love.
see? despite the overwhelming hotness you leave me all thinky too! *loves you*

That's what I was hoping would come across in the end. It was initially going to be funnier and less angsty but, the more I wrote it, the more I realized that there was a lesson that they both could learn from the whole thing. I worried about some of the kinkier stuff because it's me but I think the underlying emotion of those kinkier things helped to downplay it. There was a lot of give and take in this, which I'm not sure would have happened had their guard not been down.
and he assumes it's someone's birthday because he's still surprised that he's the occasion,
I was so thrilled that you picked up on that detail! ;-P
loved the details about the music, the club, the clothes. And the unspoken truth there is that Charlotte never dressed up that way for clubs, either. She did it for Dean because she was making him dress ( ... )

I still don't mind you telling me, however. ;-P
*smishes*
And the conversation before and during the sex scene still makes me tear up when I re-read it. This rocks. ;)
I think, when all is said and done, that was my favorite conversation in the story, so I'm happy that it still had emotional impact - given how often I spammed you with various versions of the fic.
