I was a bit confused at first because I'm not at all familiar with these myths and legends and have only heard of the Sidhe from a few Laurell K Hamilton books but good god, woman. Penny is Lia's mom! Dean has seven kids! I am so in love with this story and your brain and IloveyousomuchOMG. *skips off to the next part*o

*smishes*

My version of the fae is very different, methinks, from Ms. Hamilton's. I did a lot of research on the fairy tales I used and I study Celtic mythology in my spare time, so...

Penny is Lia's mom! Dean has seven kids!

Well, I knew someone would figure it out. ;-P

You know, I don't think "naughty" even came to mind. I knew this thing was dark - and for me to call something "dark" given I'm the girl who has impaled Sam on a demon's claw, that's pretty dark.

And I realise, as I'm reading, that I've missed the way you put words together ... I really have.

*is blushing*

So this story - Penny managed to get Dean to settle down long enough to have a family - actually, I'm surprised they stopped at 7 - but hey, there are rules in magic aren't there? And so Lia is the seventh child of a seventh child

Eventually... There's still a lot going down in the primary storyline in the 'verse that I've yet to explore; I'm just hoping that folks stick around for the ride.

I think the most important thing for me when creating Lia was to show her connections to both sides of her family - and she's the third generation of "seventh children" so to speak. I tried to "mirror" that in the way that a lot of different fairy tales mirror the same central truths.

And this takes us back to the pouka of the first ( ... )
